Laxguard, LLC was established in 2026 by Doug Eastman, a father of multiple daughters that play(ed) competitive lacrosse year-round for their schools and national travel clubs. With over 14 years traveling to out-of-state tournaments and college prospect camps, I found the whole travel experience anxiety-provoking as I worried whether their lacrosse sticks would arrive intact from being thrown onto the team bus, squeezed into the back of an overpacked car trunk, or checked thru baggage on our flights. Good sticks are not cheap, so it is important to keep them safe from potential impact during travel.

It’s never fun to check into the hotel the night before or morning of a big game and learn that the stick(s) were damaged somewhere along the way. There is nothing like playing with your own stick, and when your team is counting on you to perform at the highest level it is important to ensure your gear is ready to go into battle with you. I can’t tell you how many times I have seen the head of a player’s stick fall off during crucial moments of a game because the head was taken off and reattached so many times during travel. 

After years of fine-tuning a viable solution to protect my daughters’ lacrosse stick (and not being happy with what I was seeing in the market), I landed on a design that could weather the wear and tear of travel and make it easier for players to bring their entire sticks without having to disassemble them.  Laxguard is great for players that don’t play beyond their school season too, as it keeps your sticks together and safe when stored during the offseason.
